In Funnel Setup, the page URL field is going to be the exact URL that a live visitor to your site would see when navigating through your funnel pages. It’s very important to keep in mind that some page building services such as SamCart or ClickFunnels, give a preview URL which  IS NOT the same URL that a visitor would see when they visit the pages in your funnel.
To get the actual URL’s your visitors will see you will need to visit each preview URL in a web browser, wait for the re-direct to take place, and then copy and paste the correct URL into ConversionFly.

Additional Note:
Check for these points below

  • HTTP:// or HTTPS:// – You will want to be sure to include the proper prefix to your page URL.
  • Forced www. or not – Make sure you know if your page is a forced www. redirect or not.  (More info below)
  • Click the TEST button – This will test this page URL to make sure our code is properly working.

TESTING Your Page URL.

When clicking the TEST button after placing your page’s URL in the URL field, our script will automatically search the content of that page to run a check for our tracking code to ensure it has been properly installed and is correctly firing back the data needed to track the page.

If the URL TEST is successful you will receive a blue success message.
However, if we detect an issue with the installation of the tracking code, you will receive a red error message.

Here are some common issues that return error messages:

  1. Our Tracking Code is not installed on this page.
Ensure that our Tracking Code is properly installed on your page and formatted EXACTLY as we provided for you to copy.
Some page builders will remove the line breaks in our Tracking Code which are imperative for our JavaScript to properly track your pages.
  2. It is possible to be properly tracking but still receive an error message.
These are pages that we call DYNAMIC URLs. These pages usually contain session keys or cookie sets that track users with some sort of appendage (although not always) and even though the page may appear static, on the back end if the user has not visited a prior page in your funnel (often times an Opt-in or order form) then our automated script is unable to detect this page.
This is also very common for most Webinar Pages.
For such page types, you will want to utilize our MANUAL PAGE VERIFICATION feature.
To do so, simply click “CLICK HERE” in the second paragraph of the red error message. This will open up a modal where you will have the option to toggle either ON or OFF on Manual Page Verification for that specific funnel step.
  3. Forced www. redirect
Forced www. redirect is when your server setup is always set to have your domain forwarded to a www.yourdomain.com instead of allowing both www.yourdomain.com and yourdomain.com.
In these cases, you will want to click the TEST button next to the Page URL field and select the
    checkbox labeled Forced www. Redirect.
After doing so, wait for the page to reload and confirm that your URL has been changed to a www. URL.

An important thing to keep in mind is that Forced www. domain redirects are often limiting and can affect your Search Engine rankings.
We advise that you contact your server host and request that this feature be turned off so that either URL option works for your site visitors.
